If you are looking for ways to preserve your collection then here we have a few hints and tips to help you out…
How to clean up dirty outfits – It’s best not to wash them at all as they are old cloth and you can do all sorts of damage to them, but if you really have to then I would suggest hand washing them in bowl with a small amount of washing powder and luke warm water, leave them to soak for about 20 minutes, then rinse them in clean luke warm water and hang them out to dry. Although many do, I would not put them in the washing machine or tumble dryer as this can damage them.
For cleaning up old hands we use Milton bottle steriliser and warm water
To soften rubber we use three parts Isopropyl (Rubbing Alcohol) to one part Methyl Salicylate (Wintergreen essential oil) and leave to soak overnight.
To remove Starlocks from vehicles, its best to use a pair of Flat End Pliers, grab the starlock twist left then right and give it a tug, and it should pop right off, you only need to remove one side and the axle will slide right out, then either clean up using some kitchen foil and repaint them or replace them….
For re-applying fabric stickers we use a glue stick and clamp over night.

We have found the best colour match for touching up the Palitoy Green Vehicles is Olive Green.
We use the Revell No. 361 Olive Green Silk on ours because the colour is very close and doesn’t require any additional colours mixed in to match the shade.
