So just how easy is to tell the difference between vintage and 40th anniversary or modern uniforms?
Vintage uniforms are labelled with Palitoy, Gi Joe etc whereas the 40th range isn’t, however, none of the trousers are labelled so the only way to tell the difference is usually by the feel of the cloth or the stitching.
Accessories, guns etc. are generally stamped with either Hasbro or made in Hong Kong, whereas most of the 40th ones are usually blank.
Grenadier Guards Uniforms
The earlier versions had a bit more detail with stitched cuffs and a more detailed collar, we have also noticed that some of the earlier Busby’s were slightly larger and had more flock on them.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police Uniforms
The buttons and detail on these tunics can often vary between uniforms
