There is nothing worse than trying to identify and source parts when you are trying to restore or repair toys that are over thirty years old. The biggest issue that we have when digging around for replacement parts is the size, because back when most of these toys were produced the dimensions were imperial (inches) but most of the new stock is metric, so its a case of trial and error when it comes to getting the right fitting parts.
We have all been there, you finally get that talk box working but when you start putting it all back together you can’t for the life of you find all of the screws. If you have one, then you can ratch about in your screw box or nip down to a hardware shop to try to find one that’s the same, but remember, if it’s too short it wont hold, if it’s too long it will damage the torso, if it’s too fat it wont fit in the hole, so please check carefully.
We are often asked for spare parts, so have decided to make some of our stock available to collectors who want to do their own repairs but are struggling to source the right parts. At the end of the day it’s not worth taking the risk of damaging your stuff by using incompatible parts when we have plenty of the right bits in stock which we use every day on our own figures.Â
