The Action Man Eagle Eyes Talking Space Ranger Commander was released in 1982 to compliment the Space Ranger Captain, Space Ranger Commando, Patroller, and of course his arch enemy Captain Zargon the Space Pirate.
The outfit comprised of:
- Jumpsuit with armband
- Black Helmet
- White Gauntlets
- White Boots
- Plastic Tabard with holster
- Black Laser Hand Gun
The talking commander came on a Blue Pants Eagle Eyes (BPEE) Figure with Flocked Hair, he had a black plastic dog tag and spoke six phrases.
“All units stand by”
“We are under attack!”
“I’m going in…”
“Oxygen level falling”
“Space station now visible”
“Prepare to repel invaders”
These figures were only produced for a couple of years and are becoming harder to find in decent working order.
The Space Rangers had their own range of futuristic looking guns in their arsenal. As well as the pistols that came with the figures there was also six rifle type weapons and an additional hand gun, these were all released on the space rangers version of the small arms accessory card.
